It’s official I am now: Qualified.
Not for heavy machinery (that would be cool) but to be a practictioner of the graduate student arts. My Quals turned out to be much easier than I thought they would, which was good. I spent the last 2 weeks rereading an Electricity and Magentism book and a Stat. Mech. book becuase I had heard horror stories about only being asked E&M problems on your Quals. As there was so much to go over I didn’t really even glance at anything Quantum till the day or two before, and even then it was just a cursory glance. Hilariously enough though, they only asked me Quantum Mechanics questions (our Quals are oral exams). Afterwards one of the professors came back in and told me I had done a really good job, so I’m happy
I’ve got a lot on my plate at the moment: 3 classes, TAing two sections and a lab, and working in a lab. I’m not quite sure how I’ll be able to get through all of this, so *shrug* it will be an interesting few months. Also I am counting down the days until ~the end of February.
I went to meet you at Central Square
