Weekend in Boulder

October 21st, 2008 by william

As much as I enjoy living in the middle of the Corn Ocean, I decided I wanted to see mountains again. So, I skipped work for a couple of day and hopped on a plane to Boulder. I know, big surprise to everyone. We had a great time; spent a morning in the Flat Irons, another in the Wild Basin are of Rocky Mountain National Park, and then a lazy day in Boulder proper. To Ruth and my great surprise, our Junior Lab technical instructor who we knew had moved to Boulder to work at the National Center for Atmospheric Research actually works in the building across the street from Ruth’s house. He was always happy and helpful when we knew him at MIT, but I don’t think I had ever seen him as happy as he is now in Boulder.

The weekend was great, and I think I have enough inertia to make it to Thanksgiving. Also, robotic, light seeking potted plantsare awesome.
